My name is Monica and I am an official tour guide for Siena, Florence and their surroundings.
I live in Castellina in Chianti, a small village perched on top of a hill halfway between Siena and Florence.
The Chianti region is famous all over the World for its excellent wine and for its breathtaking landscape.
I have a degree in Foreign Languages (I speak English and German). For 10 years I have been working in various hotels of the Chianti region, but my real passion has always been Art History. I was 16 years old when I visited the Uffizi Gallery for the first time and it was love at first sight. Since then the passion for art and history never extinguished and for that reason I decided to become a tour guide.
I attended two courses, where I studied art, history and local traditions. After having passed the final examinations, I obtained the license to practice.
For many years I’ve been carrying out this job for passion and with passion I’ve been giving voice to the beauty that surrounds us.
